Background

Microtubules are composed of two structural microtubule subunits, α and β. Tubulin αis expressed in breast cancer and some malignant epithelial tumors. Some studies have shown that there is also expression in high-grade non-neurogenic tumors, while others have shown that cancer cells are markers of drug resistance to taxanes.
