Background

Carbonic anhydrase IX (CA9/CA IX) is a zinc-containing metalloproteinase mainly distributed in the gastrointestinal tract and gallbladder.CA IX is overexpressed in many types of cancers, including renal clear cell carcinoma (RCC) and cervical cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer, but it is underexpressed in normal kidneys and most other normal tissues. This antibody is mainly used for the diagnosis of renal clear cell carcinoma. 75-100% of renal clear cell carcinoma are diffusely membrane-positive, and other types of renal cell carcinoma are negative or only nidus positive.
