Background

CD10, also named as common acute lymphoblastic leukemia antigen (CALLA), is expressed in bone marrow hematopoietic stem cells (including neutrophils), follicular centroblasts, a small number of mature B lymphocytes and parafollicular T lymphocytes. In addition, CD10 was also found in the upper layer of intestinal brush border cells, liver cholangiocarcinoma, glomeruli and renal tubular cells, alveolar cells, myoepithelial cells, breast, sweat gland, salivary gland, prostate cells and a small number of fibroblasts. CD10 is expressed in most acute lymphoblastic leukemia, follicular lymphoma and Burkitt's lymphoma. CD10 can be specifically used for the identification and classification of B-cell leukemia / lymphoma as well as some other tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma.
