Background
CD61 is a 105 kDa membrane glycoprotein expressed in platelets, megakaryocytes, osteoclasts and endothelial cells. CD61 is mainly used to recognize platelets and their precursor cells, and can be used in the diagnosis of megakaryocytic leukemia.
