Background

FLI-1 gene and FLI-1 protein are recognized because they play an important role in the pathogenesis of Ewing's sarcoma / peripheral neuroectoembryoma (ES/PNET). At first, FLI-1 is used in the judging of ES/PNET, and its specificity and sensitivity are better than CD99. Recent studies have confirmed that FLI-1 gene also plays an important role in the embryonic development of blood vessels. It is expressed in various types of vascular endothelial cells (arteries, veins and lymphatics). The positive rate of angiosarcoma is as high as 90%. It also expresses lymphoblastic lymphoma. Now the antibody is recommended to be used in combination with CD99 to identify ES/PNET, differential judging of hemangioendothelial tumor, especially epithelioid tumor.
