Background

Forkhead box prote1 (FOXP1), a member of the FOXP subfamily of transcription factors, is widely expressed in human myocardium, lung, small intestine, lymph and other tissues and has various biological functions. Dysregulation of FOXP1 expression plays an important role in the occurrence and development of lymphoma. In mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma and diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), high FOXP1 protein expression predicts unfavourable prognosis. However, the incidence and nature of FOXP1 abnormalities at the gene and protein levels and their correlation with lymphoma have not been confirmed. Foreign studies have reported that high level of FOXP1 protein expression is related to the unfavourable prognosis of DLBCL.
