Background

Nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR) is a type I transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of about 75kDa, also known as P75NTR, which belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamilyStudies have shown that NGFR is expressed on Schwann cells, neuronal axons and perineural cells and tumors derived from these cells, including malignant peripheral schwannomas, schwannomas, granulosa cell tumors, and neurofibroma. When combined with the S100 antibody, it can help diagnose connective tissue hyperplasia and neurotrophic malignant melanoma.
