Background

p27 is a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor (CDKI). It can prevent the transition of the cell cycle from the G1 phase to the S phase by binding to or inhibiting cyclin (Cyclin) or cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK). Studies have shown that the expression level of p27 is of great significance to the prognosis of breast cancer, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer and other malignant tumors. The low expression of p27 indicates a poor prognosis for patients.
