Background

P40 is one of the subtypes of p63 protein. P63 is widely used in the classification of lung cancer in routine pathological diagnosis. P40 has a high sensitivity in lung squamous cell carcinoma, but it also partially expresses lung adenocarcinoma. Compared with p63, P40 has a high sensitivity similar to p63 antibody in lung squamous cell carcinoma, but it is rarely expressed in lung adenocarcinoma. Therefore, P40 is recommended for the differential judging of squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung.
