Background

Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen (PCNA) is a kind of peptide synthesized and expressed only in proliferating cell nucleus, which is related to cell cycle. It is mainly expressed in the S, G1, G2 phases of cell proliferation, which can be used to study the degree of cell proliferation and judge the degree of malignancy. But its specificity as a cell proliferation index is not as good as Ki-67. It has certain significance for the treatment of tumor and the prognosis.
